Ratscript was originally designed to speed up testing and content development for the Operation SpyRat series. With the migration from Adobe Flash to Synfig Studio, it will now also serve as the primary scripting language for Synfig Game Studio (though loosely implemented, to leave room for alternative languages.)
NOTE: Not all tasks currently relating to Ratscript Norvegicus will remain for that version. Some may be migrated to later versions.
# Versions #
* Ratscript Burrus (1.x) was written in ActionScript 3.0, for the original Adobe AIR project.
* **Ratscript Norvegicus (2.x)** is the current development version. It is designed to introduce all the major features of the language.
* Ratscript Merriami (3.x) is a planned future version, which will likely show up for Phantom Orchestra (corresponding with Webster's first real appearance in the games). It would include advanced tools for working with music.
* Ratscript Tanezumi (4.x) is a planned future version, which will likely show up for T Minus Panic. It would include advanced mathematics features, especially those for generating math problems of all types.
