The Cross-Indexed Educational Lexicon is a comprehensive, education-oriented list of words codified in [Extended Tilde Format](w/content/tildeformat/).

This project was formerly known as the Master Word List in the #word4word content files. As the word list began to show promise as an independently useful project, it was split off to be its own project. #word4word will use CIEL in its content engine.

It will ultimately be dual-licensed. A free/community license, likely Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial, will be made available for open source and non-commercial projects, non-profit organizations, and all K-12 and special needs schools. A paid commercial license will be available as well.
